my 89 has electrical issue please help
last year my 89 did this to me and i went out to start it and my inside lights came on as normal but to turn the key there was nothing no click nothing to the starter... I came back to it about an hour later and it started right up... It has started fine every day for a year now the other day i went out from work??? same issue and i have tried everything from replacing the ignition module on the column ..Is this something in the security system?? What should I try next

May not be problem but if an automatic try jiggling the shifter just in case neutral safety switch is bad/little out of adjustment or possibly the clutch neutral switch at very top of pedal assembly. The clutch switch can be very difficult to get out and back in on the manuals. I tested my manual switch by removing the 2-wire connector and put put a small jumper wire across--it would always start in these no start situations. CAUTION: I would never, ever, never use this jumper on a manual wire to bypass for daily operation as the car will start in gear! THAT IS HOW ACCIDENTS HAPPEN!
