1990 Seat belt help
With the drivers side seat belt pluged in, the seat belt dash light indicator stays on. The switch in the seat belt buckle checks ok. What else could I look for?

Question for you guy's Is the INFL REST light lit in the drivers info center? or is the bulb burnt out or removed to mask the problem? Only 1990s have this problem. Pipe

I agree w/the above, mine did that w/out the "INFL REST" on. You can check cavity K (SIR) to see if it threw any realated code/s.

Kmillar could be right. Alot of guy's will pull the Bulb in the DIC to hide the problem. My right front frame rail sensor was the culprit also. See if the car throw's any codes. The frame sensors are only like $60 bucks and an hour worth of time to fix. Pipe

I believe that the seat belt light is computer controlled, or relay controlled. Typically, you will have a power wire, and a ground wire, one or both should go to the computer, or relay. When you put the seat belt into the buckle, it should complete the circuit and let the computer know that the seat belt is connected. Then the computer would turn off the seat belt light. Or if it was a relay, when it is connected, the relay will power up and disconnect the seat belt light circuit from inside the relay. I would do more research on it if I were you, but I think that's how they work.

i figured out my problem, it is a broken wire on the driver side latch

There are two frame mounted sensors for the 1990 air bag. The left front sensor is on top of the frame beneath the battery. The right front sensor is on top of the frame beneath the A/C blower assembly. Access to either requires you remove the front wheel and the inner fender panel.

It's right under the ac/blower motor. Yellow wire going in to a square black box. 2 blots holding it down.
I just replaced my sensor and took care of both idiot lights. They don't sell new sensor for the 90 any more. I took a gamble and bought one off eBay.
