Does anyone know if a stock LT4 crankshaft has a key slot milled in to it? I know the hub is not keyed but have heard the crank does have a slot machined in to it. Looking at installing an ATI super damper. Any help would be apreciated.
Yes, it does have a keyway, and there is a key installed. The key is weird, though, as it sits flush with the crank except for at the very back, where it sticks up for the tone ring for the crank position sensor (OBDII only).

The crank has two key-ways cut into it, one for the timing gear and crank position sensor, and one for the crank hub. There is a key installed for the timing gear and CPS, but there is no provision for a key machined into the stock crank hub.

My plan is to install an ATI underdrive balancer and they are keyed. Just did not want to pull the crank to have machined.
