Default Ever seen the cluster do this?

Car's been sitting since November, and I've been doing some minor winter projects, nothing major. Well I decided to start it up today and had to charge the battery. I did have to adjust the TPS since I had the TB's rebushed. Anyways the dash went out of control! I checked out the batee site but nothing on there about this. What do you think?

hey there cars sounding nice. I dont know exactly the cause of it but im betting its a loose wire. mine does the same ecact thing and if i pop the top of the dash with my hand it goes to normal. bumps in the road i find sets mine off to goofy mode or if its in goofy mode the bumps will fix it. Its annoying but helpfull with those pesky cops that pull me over for going a lil too fast lol. I found myself an analog guage setup all done and ready for install on ebay for $200 with all new vdo guages. my plan is to install that but im considering adding a cpl guages to it. possably fuel pressure and i would like one of those air to fuel ratio guages to hopefully help with the tuning.

You may need your cluster rebuilt. Mine suddenly died, everything went black.

I'm thinking one of the grounds may be loose or a bad connection. I'm gonna check out G110 and if thats not the problem I guess I'll pull the cluster and look into that.

Mine did the exactly same thing -- $250-ish later when I got it back from Southern Electronics's -- It's OK now
Another reason I got the vette cheap (I don't count all the added costs - buy Wifey does )

I don't know if you remember or not but I have that and a vac gauge on the pillar... best guages to have. getting ready to put the ebl/flash in so they should help.

If I don't find a bad ground them I'm calling a priest!

yup i remember i think im going to try to get it to fit in the dash somehow though. I have to admit that ebl stuff sounds pretty cool. ive been reading the posts about it over at crossfire forum. think im going to give the 7747 and prominator a try first before i go spending more cash. You think the vac guage will help tuning much? i never really thought of that one.

9 out of 10 times a bad ground either one of the body grounds or inside the cluster. Mine did that and after cleaning all the grounds and adding a direct ground to the ambient temp. sensor I still had that problem. I sent it for a rebuild and the power supply was bad. Works like new now.
