In threads late last year (2007), there was a proposal floated for a group purchase on the the First Intake system. I was wondering if this ever happened and if any peices have been delivered.
If so what kind of problems are there in the installation ? I know the AFPR needs to be relocated, a different EGR must be used (I have a 1990), fuel lines have to be re -routed and the TB requires a different connector to the air filter shroud ....A conversion kit might be a good idea.
Super Rams are hard to get and $$, and there does not seem to be any movement on the the BBK Intake which has generated alot of interest in this Forum. The First Intake seems to be the only other EGR equipped alternative to the ASM/TPIS LTR system presently available.

Anyone out there installed the First??
Haven't installed mine yet, should be on in about a month, though. The FIRST fuel rails are adjustable to either be front or rear exit/entry. I'm unsure about needing a different EGR (mine's a 88). FIRST will provide the adapter for the air filter. I'm under the understanding a completely differnt AFPR will be needed (universal EFI type). I am also thinking about doing the small cap distributor install at the same time as I understand the HEI is a tight fit and needs a little modification to the base. Depending on how long u wanna wait and how my FIRST performs, I may have a superram, complete for sale about mid April or beginning of May.

Ken at FIRST suggested this AFPR: aeromotive 13301. That's the one they use. He also told me that the intake will bolt up to GM's multi pattern Fast-Burn heads will a little filing on some ridge. Sounded simple enough.
I recieved mine about two weeks ago and I will be putting it on a zz383 crate motor with the msd small cap hei sometime next week. I am putting it in my 88 vert and If I get the old motor out this weekend and the trans gets rebuilt before next weekend I should have it in and running in two weeks. I will post the progress along with any problems or changes that need to be made
