Default 1:7 Roller Rockers?

Ok I am not going to lie...I don't want to tear into my LT4 with no leaks to do the cam if I can keep away from doing so. Does anyone make a 1:7 rocker arm and what kind of improvements would one expect to see.

CompCams and Scorpion both make 1.7 ratio narrow-body rockers last I checked.

The CompCams offering is out of their Hi-Tech line and pretty pricey. $425 comes to mind.

Scorpion was around $200-210 a couple of years ago.

I think that they're both NSA, so you'll need hardened pushrods and guideplates. You'll also need new studs, as the LT4 stock studs are 10mm and the aftermarket pieces will be 3/8" or 7/16". (might as well go with 7/16" if you upgrade.)

You already have 1.6 roller rockers, so the benefits won't be as great as the LT1 guys going from a 1.5 ratio stamped steel rocker to a 1.6 roller.

I'd think you'd net somewhere between 5-10hp, but hopefully one of the LT4 guys will have more qualified feedback on this.

Scorpion.

Still around $200-$225 depending.

95 Polo is correct you will need 7/16 studs, guide plates and hardend pushrods as the rockers are non S/A.

Looks like I am screwed....to put different studs on I am looking at machine work..IE..pull the heads. I think 4:10's just might have to do this season!

Yeah the "machine" work claim is bogus. You just need the right studs. They just bolt in.

they might need to be drilled and tapped unless the studs are 10mm on one side and 7/16 on the other.

His heads are tapped 7/16 for the rocker studs.

The factory GM STUDS are 7/16 on the bottom and 10mm on the top.

All you will need is new 1.7 Rockerarms, regular 7/16 Studs, Guide Plates and Hardened Pushrods. It is a bolt on proceedure.
