Recently while on a road cruise, the dreaded "dying" happened!!! Just driving along at operating temp and engine quit. Cool down and restart, drive a little and quit... Made it home and started looking for problems... No codes... Let it idle in the parking lot, after about three cycles of the fan on at 228, off at 216 it would die... No codes!!!
While under the hood, I noticed steam coming from around the radiator cap... Replaced cap as it tested bad... Now it will not die... Let it idle four cycles of fan on/off, drove it on 100 mile cruise, no problem... Could there be any explaining that a radiator cap would cause this type of problem??? 92 LT1, vert.

Intermittent problems like that are a bitch! You should invest in a Helms FSM for your car. When I work on my 89, its has saved my *** more times than I can account for. PS, your radiator cap has nothing to do with the engine randomly stalling.
Have FSM (red), OTC 4000e, and Alldata Subscription for this car... All say check for codes!!! No Codes... Car sat in same spot (not driven) before changing cap and after changing cap... Only difference before (car died) after changing cap (runs great)... Even pulled fan plug and let temp get up too 237... No dieing... Makes no sense to me but leaving for South Padre Island in it on Sunday (2/25) for a 1000 mile trip... and just renewed my AAA card...
