I have done a quick search of the archives and haven't had much luck finding info.

Is anyone running a Jacobs Nitrous Mastermind nitrous controller? If so, what ignition system are you using? Did you have any issues during installation? Any issues after installation?

I really liked mine. It was hard on solenoids, but other than that, no issues.

The dials weren't really labeled that accurately, but you could kind of figure out what was going on by paying attention to what the car did.

Thanks, Neat.

What was/is your ignition set-up? I am very interested in proven combinations with the NMM. I have a bone stock 89 ignition system right now. My intent was to install a NOS (the brand) throttle body plate wet system that I purchased a couple of months ago. Then my brother gave me a Nitrous Mastermind he bought but never used. Now I need to figure out what I have to buy ignition-wise to get it all to work.

Can you elaborate a little on your comment about the accuracy of the dials?

First thing you need to do is get another nitrous noid and remove the screen in the fitting on one and install them inline.
You have to use 2 noids or just using one will hammer it to death and cause a failure and boom.
The system will hammer the noids every milly second and cause them to heat up as they are brought on line to what ever % or time you set the system up for.
I use the NOS system works for me and has saved me a lot of trans work this liast year.
I use a ford distributor from MSD with the MSD 6AL box and pin retard.I retard 10 degrees. You will pull your hair out tring to hook this thing up .Remember when you add the ground the retard will activate.

I use a Mallory 685 box on my car.

What I mean by dial accuracy is that 50% shot at 3,000 RPM's as indicated by the dial isn't exactly 50% or 3000. You'll kind of get a feel for it as you mess with it.
