Thanks
Brackets are on and cables mounted. The swivel to connect the end of the cable to the carb is what I need some ideas on.
I will describe the best I can because I can't snap a pic right now
The TPI had a rocker setup on the throttle body butterflies with a "bicycle" brake style end that the cable set into. The carb is a straight pull and only has a post or ball end on to attach the end of the cable to.
I was wondering what ideas you have to connect the cable end to the carb. I have it clamped in now but want to relocate it off center a bit to get more pedal travel.
Holly makes a kit for that.Jegs checker or Sumitt.
I used the Checker Auto one for a while until I went to a Dominator and I had to step up to the jegs one for I think 35 bucks. The dominator has
stronger springs.Make sure you hook up the trans cable so you can play a tune on it or you will smoke the trans .I used a chrysler lower piece for the trans hook up and ground it to fit.
If your running a auto trans make sure you get a bracket for the r 700 or say by to your tranny.
Got that and the "official" holley 700R4 combination cable bracket
The funny thing is that the original TPI had 1.5" of travel while the Holley bracket only has 1" of cable travel. I have had some experience adjusting the 700R4 TV cable so I know where a proper adjustment will shift at so my tranny guy said try it and see how it runs.
