LT1/4 intake remove, drain coolant?
I just read in my Haynes manual, getting ready to do the intake gaskets on my lt4.
Is states that i need to drain the coolant, is that really necessary?
I can see it needed on the L98, but is there any coolant in the intake on a LT4
It also states that i should apply permatex on the coolant holes in the gasket facing the heads..?

You can remove the intake without draining the coolant, it is a dry intake. Just don't disconnect the coolant hose through the throttle body.
Also, don't use sealant on the intake gaskets.

Is this also true for an Lt1, I have to replace the intake manifold gaskets on 92 LT1.

Can you disconnect the throttle body from the intake without draining the coolant, or must you leave it attached to the intake.

Yes you can disconnect the throttle body from the intake without draining the coolant. Now might be a good time to do the TB coolant bypass mod.
