Default Anyone Using AFS Wheels

I have been considering a wheel/tire package with the ZR1 style wheels from AFS. From reading the info posted on their site for '96 wheels they say you have to grind someting in the front to keep the tires from rubbing. Has anyone done this? Is there another manufacturer to go with? Thanks.

I have AFS in all 4 corners. 9.5s with 285/40s on the front and 11s with 315/35s on the rear. No problems.

I, too, have ZR1s on all 4 corners. I'm running 275/17/9.5. No problems on my 92.

Set of chromes like Mojo's with Sumitoma's on my 95, and had the 9.5's on others.

Just took a set off my 96 - chrome ZR1 style - no interference issues of any kind.
They're like new and for sale on parts site right now at a big savings over new.

Default AFS Wheels

I just put a set of their 17" x 9.5" ZR1 style wheels onto my 92 about 2 weeks ago and haven't had any problems with them at all. The castings aren't quite as nice as the factory wheels (being a Chinese knock-off), but they look very nice from a couple of feet away and I'm the only guy who's likely going to get down on my hands & knees to examine them that closely! Besides that, they're priced very fairly - so I'd say it's a good buy. Three nice surprises: AFS packed them up VERY well before shipping them, they sent them VERY promptly, and the wheels actually balanced up better than my sawtooths! Very pleased with the results overall!

I have the AFS's on my 84, 315's on the rear. I was happy with the Sumitomos as an all around street/track tire but the 315 is no longer available. Bought a pair of BFG's yesterday. The wheels are great!

Running blk GS AFS wheels for a few years, even on the track, no problems, no rubbing either, 9.5" on all fours.

Hey......I just have to say that I really like your car! It's sharp looking and a very unique C4. The color combo is cool and the paint looks really nice. Just had to tell ya!

Thanks!

Also, thanks for the input about Tire Rack-I looked at their website and they weren't listed at the time. Discount told me they had been discontinued. I was happy with the wear and performance of the Sumi's.
