Well about a month ago someone backed into my car and damaged the hood. After the insurance made there settlement I decided to get the whole car painted instead of trying to argue with them that I did not believe they could match 14 year old paint. In the end it was only a few bucks out of pocket and the results are awesome. I also took the time to get to a few things I have been blowing off for a couple of years including replacing all the gaskets fixing the headlight (New Bushings) and replacing the drivers side bottom seat cushion. The pollen is so bad I washed it and had green dust on it within twenty min.
well here is the only shot I got before the camera died
Looks great! Would love to see a few more pics!! My '84 is in the shop right now getting some brand new paint, I can't wait! Looks really good, I bet your stoked!
Looks great. On a side note, what bushing went bad on the headlight? The internal plastic ones? Mine right one wont open unless the hood is open.
When I get back to Charleston I will probably get the interior done and repainted, as it needs it.

Steve,
Yes it was the three Delrin Bushings that caused the problem. They were completely gone, just dust. I have been putting that project off for over a year, just never seem to have enough time, but it only took about an hour including the trip to Lowes and now it works perfect.
Cool. Mine is some wierd sppring within the headlight. In this pic it is between where the philips screwdriver is pointing and the plate to the left. No one knows what it is. I cant see it very well and the FSM isnt to helpful.
Pollen... Believe it or not... I would look forward to the pollen in March. I miss the early springtime in South Carolina. I used to live in Aiken up until four years ago.
