To start with, want to say thanks! for all the advice I have received from the good people here on this forum.
I have a HVAC problem: Had the radiator replaced a while back at the dealer..car came back with the A/C cycling. returned the car to the dealer, he says needs 2 A/C hoses due to leaking? ok? I might add, the folowing unrelated repairs were made as well. the pos battery cable was repaired, new sarter, new EGR valve. dealer installed the hoses and recharged the system. I get the car back, still same problem! the compressor comes on for 40 seconds blows cold! but then blows very hot and the same thing all over again. dealer says programmer, he thinks? but I think, doesn't act that way to me all vents blow when the coresponding button pushed so the programmer seems to be working, correct me if I am wrong?. the auto fan speed does not work, but works when in manual mode. dealer says $$$$ I say no! any help would be appreciated! I did run the scan from the control panel it seems every code seems to be chased down to the programmer or control module please anybody jump in here as I am over my head LOL! thanks for any help

Reason: more information
This is a guess, at best. But that being said, try your A/C with the temp set to minimum and see if it stays cold. Then same for set to maximum to see if it stays hot.
If these prove true, your ambient air temperature sensor is likely shot or disconnected. It's located on the passenger side radiator shroud, down low, and may have been discombooberated or left disconnected during the radiator swap. The internal air temp sensor could also be 'south' but with the recent work, I'd look at the ambient sensor.
Other possibilities;
The connector on the refrigerant low pressure line (the fat line near the accumulator) and the low pressure switch itself can also cause improper compressor cycling. They're both a lot cheaper to fix/replace than the refrigerant lines.
And last and simplest, did they get the refrigerant charge amount correct? An incorrect charge will also cause compressor cycling. A bad low pressure switch or low charge will cause the compressor to cycle even though the temperature is set to min.
Hope this helps.
And find better garage that has a scanner and knows how to read what's going on.
Good luck.
like, the compressor cycles at any temp setting. the part that is weird is the fan doesn't work on auto?
I don't know how much refrigerant they put in, can't see how they did that with the compressor cycling? I will check the things you said! I will let you know THanks Very Much !!

Try this. Disconnect the battery for a few minutes. Reconnect the battery and start the car. Let it run for ~4 minutes without touching the HVAC controls. This may reset the HVAC controller.
I will try and get the pressures, later today. They charged me $700 for all the work. they said bring the car back but.....I am hesitant I need to know what's up before I take it back Thanks again Guys!!!
