I have a 95' LT1 and recently had installed Hooker Headers, shorty huggers and added the cold air intake. I am considering next, the Procharger supercharger to increase RWHP. Without any other modifications to the engine, what are the pros and cons. I am also considering a 3.55 rear as well.
In your opinion, is this worth the $5000-$6000 investment?

it all depends on what kind of power or 1/4 mile numbers you are looking for. i was conent at first with a 12.45 sec car with a vortech kit and the 3.55s in the rear. not bad for a street car.
as time and the need for speed increased a total redo was in need . low compression 383, 13lbs of boost, upgraded 4l60e trans ,dana 44 w/ 3:54 ..... the list is long hi 10's in the 1/4 $40,000 invested.
so think of what you really are after and build it once. or just buy a faster car all ready done. (like mine) http://forums.corvetteforum.com/show...te+convertible

This is not as simple as it seems, what are you planning on doing with the car ? Is it an automatic ?? I will assume it's an automatic as most of them are and the 3.55 rear gear would be better suited to an automatic car. If it were my car the first thing I would do is swap the rear end gears, if you are going to track it I would swap in a Dana 44 and run a 3.73 rear gear. If this is for the street a 3.73/3.75 in the dana 36 would be o.k. and alot less $$ The next mod would be a QUALITY 9.5 stall converter with a 2800 stall. Those two mods along with good tires and I was was into the 12s on an otherwise completely stock 93. You will also want a trans cooler and depending on which converter you may need a shift kit. The mods you have done so far MIGHT have gained you 5-7rwhp. The mods I suggest will drop your e.t. 8/10ths. Do those first and I think you will be amazed at how much quicker your car is, the gears and converter will really wake it up.
I personally would not supercharge a stock shortblock LTX.
