doesn't seem like a bad deal at all. good find. the only thing is that you will have to run the harness to the battery on this kit. it is not a plug and play. It's a plug, wire, and then play. I'll email them tomorrow and see if they'll do a group buy. -Harry

This has my interest. Thank you for all of this info & research!
Dumb Q comming....you knew that! I've been trying to educate myself over at a web site about lighting and wiring. Don't know if I'm allowed to say the name of the site so I'll just say it's a single owner/operator not on e-bay.
Anyway, these kits you guys are talking about...does all the draw go thru the stock headlight switch and the stock wiring? That stuff seems to me to be part of the issue with lousey light performance on a C4....okay that's what I think I learned at this nameless site, I did not figure that out for myself!:o
TIA
Tom

the HID kit plugs right in where the headlight prongs were plugged. So yes it does go through the stock harness. There are kits that have a separate harness that goes directly to the battery Via relay. The relay is triggered from the stock wiring. Either way, the HIDs use only 35 watts compared to 55 watts stock. The only time it draws more amperage is at start up which is in the seconds.
Dumb questions are only the ones that don't get asked
After my last relay bypass for my fogs, and adjusting my aim on the headlamps, I have yet to regret this HID upgrade
If nothing else, this thread helped out a lot of members into taking that step in getting the HID upgrade and just have a place to share their install and ideas. Not one person has the best ideas, but the group as a whole has the greatest. You can never get enough light on the road at night
Good luck and post your upgrades with pics! -Harry

@Harryscarlot
have just read this thread / tutorial on fitting HID headlights, for which many thanks.
I see it was done in 2008, so I'm wondering if you have anything further to add now you've had them for a while.
In particular-
Are the slimline ballasts still good ?
Using ordinary H4 headlight lenses, have you got the aim right so you have good main beam/low beam light and not dazzling uncoming traffic?
Is the vette standard wiring hanging in there, so the high voltage at startup is short enough not to cause any problems ?
Appreciate your thoughts and info,
JS
When I turn on the Fog light switch, the newly installed HID head light gets turned on.
I've read your Purple/Brown wire jump relay method to solve this problem, but I could not identify the fog relay yet.
Will it be possible for you to re-load the photos of where the Fog relay is located, and what it looks like?
I've attempted to look for it today, and I've found some kind of thin box with many wires connected at the bottom with several couplers.
Could this box be the one containing the Fog light relay on the inside?
I will be appreciated for your help.
