When I got the car over a year ago, it has always worked perfect. Haven't used it for a few months until the other night. Kept feeding the CD and it kept spiting it backout ERRor Meassage. Tonight on the way home , tried it again and after it spit back out a few times , it finally worked. Then later I tried it and it spit back out again Error message Anybody know whats going on????? Thanks, Don
You have the BLOWS system, that's what's wrong. Like most everyone else, it's best to go aftermarket. Update to the newest technology at about the same cost as rebuiling the old.
This seems to be a common problem with Bose. Mine just clicks now. Bose is all hype. Their stuff is cheaply made and sounds like poopie. One of these days, I am going to mothball mine too.
My 93, Bose tarnished gold series pulls in the CD like it's suppose to, I hear it spin up, but no music. I don't get any errors, where did you see the error code. It stinks to hear the units are poor quality. I liked the fact that it had both the Cassette and CD player all in one. :cry
Have you tried a different CD in the stereo? Mine played fine until I inserted a CD that had alot of writting on the disc. When I tried to eject the disc it wouldn't come out far enough for me to grab it. At first I thought that it was a fluke so I tried to play the CD again. This time it wouldn't even pull the CD al of the way in. I tried a different CD and everything worked fine. I never played that CD in the car again and haven't had a problem since.
How much did that hurt your wallet? I like the looks!
It didn't. I didn't have to pay for it. The dealer messed up the stock one replacing the heater core, so they cut me a check. It was $399 though from http://www.crutchfield.com when I bought it!
