Default Discount GM Parts

Hi!

Does anyone know of a discount "genuine GM parts" supplier other than GM Parts Direct? The reason I ask is that I have ordered from GM Parts Direct before, and while I love the discounts, their policy of only delivering to your credit card address is a real problem---I live in an apartment complex and, well, you get the idea...I have written them asking if they would send things to my office, but need to have a back-up plan.

Cheers, and thanks

/s/ Chris Kennedy

Go to your local GM dealerships, not just Chevy and see if they will match prices. Allot do, I am finding out. Give it a shot.

Call Chris May at Superior Chevy in KS. Tell him you are a forum member of the forum. Very good prices, great service, & no inflated shipping.

(Google to get the dealership's ph #.)

Gene Culley at GMPartsHouse is a forum Supporting Vendor and he has some good prices on GM parts. He's very close to GMPartsDirect in prices but the shipping charges are better.

Gene usually advertises in the C5 and C6 sections. Here's his website

Hummmmm. His site has the same exact menu listings as GM Parts Direct including the repeated menu duplicated parts listed but prices are much higher. It looks like he gets his parts from GM Parts Direct and resells them at a mark-up. Nothing wrong with mark-up but why order from there if you can get the parts possibly at his cost.
I didn't look at the shipping costs.

Just my observations.

I just ordered a waterpump for my 93 from Thepartsladi & they will ship wherever you want. Also their price on a ACdelco w/p was $15 less than GMpartsdiect. Shipping to CA was only $9.00. I spoke to Dave & found him helpful & informative. 800-579-7046

Thepartsladi ROCKS! I bought an OPTI and a couple of smaller pieces, the shipping was quick and the parts were as advertised.

Thanks, again! I might try partsladi, first, as I have been wanting to try them for some time based upon their ebay advertising.

Try eBay, you can find some good deals. Also check with CorvetteRecycling, he's a forum member and has some good deals on GM parts.

If you go down to the bottom of the GM Parts House website you will find a link to Lankford Auto, a Buick, Pontiac, and GMC dealership in the Philadelphia, PA area. Their website has a link to GM Parts House, too.

I would bet that Gene Culley is either an employee of that dealership or is somehow affiliated with the dealership and the parts that he sells are ordered thru the dealership computer system tied to the GM parts ordering system and not to GMPartsDirect.

Not all dealerships sell parts at the same GM published retail prices and many have good discounts to anyone who buys over the counter. Whether or not Gene Culley makes any money on his own from his website is something that only he would answer if he so chooses.

GMPartsDirect is Flow Chevrolet in NC not a seperate entity but I see no reference to it on thier website. They also list no phone #. That being daid I called Superior,&thepartsladi about a wiper arm and both were more expensive than GMParts Direct not a lot($5) but that was 10% of the purchase price.
