Ive seen on here a few times where people cut holes under their air filter for more fresh air
my question is does this really help alot? and can i see some pictures if it lives up to the hype
Is that a NO to one or the other or both questions?
By drawing air from under the radiator shroud, you get cooler air that is denser than the air from the engine compartment and it does work.
Yes, the original location of the air filter intake is supposed to be sealed from the engine compartment, but most are not sealed very well and do draw warm to hot air into the system.
Denser the air, the better the air/fuel ratio, and better performance.

Reason: Spelling and grammar
Holes in the radiator shroud around the filter is what this sounds like. That would steal air from going through the radiator. If you cut it already, cover the holes up and check for gains or losses, then uncover them and check again. Tell us how much difference there is. I will bet there is no gain.
Denser the air, the better the air/fuel ratio, and better performance.
How does the temp of the air affect the air/fuel ratio(afr)? There is a mass air flow meter and a temp sensor. The afr should not change as the air temp changes, as the computer should add fuel if the intake charge is cooler to keep the afr in the right spot.
Colder air makes more power because you can add more fuel.
Havent cut holes and im refering to right below the air filter housing cutting a air duct hole
might or might not do it
depends how willing i am when the time comes
