New best update...
This was the first time the track was raced on all season and it looked like it had a bad case of the BOILS! The rubber was blisted up and they were peeling up 8" diameter circles of it off the starting line, and as the day went on it only got worse.
I was a little ticked off that they did not put forth a better effort to prep the track. That is one thing about Pbugh raceway you can always count on - the track will be perfect. However at Beaver it seems its about saving $ and doing the least possible thing to get through the day. Frankly i will be driving a few extra miles to go to Numidia the next time I race - as again I hear they take extra good care of their track as well. I complainted to the owner and they did eventually spray the track. Not to my surprise my 60' times went from 1.39s to 1.33 still spinning a little, and went 10.06@135MPH.
When I returned to the pits there was some confusion however since my father and son were very excited and told me I finally ran a 9! I again looked at the slip and said no it was a 10.06. But they and the owner said it was a 9.98 on the boards as he came down out of the tower and said I guess the track prep got you a 9sec run. But I showed him the slip and he looked a little puzzled as well - so officially I still only have a 10.06slip.
It was fun to get out but a little frustrated with the track. My car out of about 50 other all out racecars there was the only one that got off the line without blowing the tires completely off. Even the dragster that was there was having a tough time and I got a lot of compliments on how well my car was working. But I knew not as good as it could have been and the car every pass should have been in the 9s with that air, but sometimes you have to deal with what your given.
The owner came down and asked me if he could photo my car leaving with their new starting system for a new series they will be running every 3rd saturday this summer. Its a throw-off of pinks where they have a stop-light start. You stage and with the first set of staging lights it goes yellow, with the second staging light it goes red, then immediately to green. You race your component and its the first across the line, and each round the owner pays out 50 dollars and you bet the next round. You get a reaction time and end ET on YOUR slip, but you don't know if your opponent is sandbaggin or running all out. Its for street legal cars ONLY that are inspected and have all working components through full exhausts and the cars have to go for a 20 mile round trip on street legal tires. I might have to give it a try and see what its like. I should be able to keep up with the best of them, but not sure I want to spend 4 hundred dollars on a set of tires I will likely only use a few times. But I guess I could just use my street tires, but I don't think its going to hook too good with those! lol.
The photo should be being posted and it should be pretty good since the car was nearly on the bumper with that launch!
I will keep you posted on the progress and these races. Sorry for not having any videos, but I forgot my camera.
The main thing was getting out and having some decent fun with the family. Plus not having any repairs after another outting. With the D44 and those track conditions, even dad said, you would have definately been on the trailer today BRokE.
Thanks all for the comments.
anchami79 - wow thats pretty wild. Wish I lived in the same county as a dragstrip. And if I did, I would NEVER move! Are you out of your mind? A county with Beaver and Dragracing, what more could a man ask for!!!!
.Just juice it it will go 9.30's with out a problem and at least 147 mph
Keep pounding on it we are all watching

Tell me this is not a funny photo. Check out the track prep and the car still went a 1.33 60' time! You thought I was kidding about the boils on the track and it coming up in huge spots!

Oh how I would have killed for a nicely prepped track.
The photo came from the track owner and that is the starting light that he plans to use on the "pinks" street series I mentioned above. He brought it down so we could try it out with his electronics.
He was a little too quick with the camera and missed the wheelie.
