But his 383 will have stock heads and manifolds and such......
Yeah but the cam will help a little with the stock heads..
better then swapping cams in a year or when he installs ported heads
I did the ZZ9 with stock heads cause I did not want to swap the cam when I swapped heads this year. I think he will be fine with either cam I suggested

How well does that cam work with the stock heads?
OKay I guess, Obviously not at its full potential.. but drivability seemed fine
And the HOT cam... even though I have stock converter and gears right now, that too will change in the future.... probably 2800 when the tranny has to be rebuilt, and 3.73's when the rear end goes.
Had the ZZ9 cam with my 350 and stock heads with 1.6/1.5 and shortys. Car ran real good --12.8 at 110MPH. specs are 212/226 at 483/520 on the ZZ9.
Sorry Curtis, just sold my ZZ9.
