Default FIC design 3 injector problem. HELP!

Ok, the company was closed so i havn't been able to ask them yet but has anyone ordered injectors from fuel injector connection Design III yellow type for an 86 or similar and had a problem with fitment????

What my problem is is that the injectors are too short or actually the plastic design on the bottom has two flares on each side of the injector and prevent it from going all the way don't into the intake port like the originals do. Becasue the injectors don't seat all the way down becasue of that plastic flange on the bottom body on the injector my fuel rail just covers the top of the injectors when it is seated all the way down on the fuel rail mounts. So the top seal on the injector doesn't even really go into the fuel rail!

I suppose i could file the plastic body flares down so the injector body is perfectly round on the bottom like the originals and maybe it will seat correctly both in the intake and the rail but i just bought them and should have to modify plus i don't want to void any kind of warranty on them.

Anyone have experience with these injectors or FIC if you read this whats up? Are they the wrong injectors for my car?

The injectors are 60mm o ring to o ring..the same as every replacement. The old injectors are 3.5mm longer. the instalation instructions we sent must be followed.. With the design III you DO NOT use the clip. When installing you put the injectors in the manifold first, then put on your fuel rail.
The injectors will fit no problem... If you have any additional problem pm me I will give you my home phone #...

Whewww... THANK YOU JON from FIC for helping me fix this problem I thought I had!

For everyone that reads this and is interested in purchasing from FIC I highly recommend it! Jon found my phone number from my invoice and called me at home right after i left this post and explained the differences in the old injectors and the new replacements used today and how much of a different fit and feel they are when installing. He stayed on the phone with me the whole time I installed the injectors and pressurized my fuel system to make sure I didn't run into any leaks like I thought I would. The injectors installed great and don't leak a drop. I can't wait to get the rest of my car put together now to give the new injectors a nice throttle test too!

Thanks Jon, you run and awesome service!
