How difficult is it to install shorty headers on a 94 with a 6 speed. I am considering getting a set but don't know if it can be done without a lift or special tools. Thanks for everyone's advice.
It's not too hard. Remove the exhaust manifolds and install the headers. Hardest part is installing a few of the bolts and aligning the passenger's side air tube.

Get you some Pacesetters and you don't have the problem with the air tube on either side. They are cheaper and are ceramic coated.
Love mine.
I might add, they are built better that the Hooker's by far. They have a full length 3/8" thick flange and easier to mount similar to the original manifolds.

You already have shorty headers. Waste of time and money.

I wouldn't consider the '94 exhaust manifolds headers at all. The end tubes exit sharper than 90* and the center two tubes are one common opening to the collector and the end tubes are 90* turns into the common collector. The turns are waaaay too sharp for even flow.
The headers sound much much better than the original manifolds and will add some HP and look much better.
