really? what is it? i mean i know we're talking about the same thing using the charts and taking x off the intake side of the head with x off the face, i had the impression that was called angle correction milling. if it isn't i don't want to be using the term, what is angle milling if not that?

Angle milling is where you take off an uneven amount (mill at an angle) off the head where it mates to the block deck. You can take more off on the exhaust side which reduces the cc volume with less chance of hitting the valve seats. It also has the effect of raising the intake ports a little which yields a few more horses (like the LTx/Vortec/Fastburn). Of course, everything else has to be adjusted accordingly so it all fits back together.
