Default auto scanner

can anyone tell me if a scanner bought today to work on 1996 and up, will it work on my 1993 LT-1 ???

I assume the scanner you bought for the 96 is OBDII, and the 93 is a OBDI. The scanner will work on both. But you will need the adaptor cable for OBDI. These have different connector ends. Also for the OBDI, it will need the external power supply cable to hook into cig lighter. OBDII gets it's power from the diagnostic plug.

The '94 and '95 have the OBDII connector but are OBDI and can be programmed through the connector.
