1991, L-98 motor, auto trans. Looks as though I may have an oil pressure switch leaking. Oil on left rear side of block, below switch. It's starting to run down the side of the block also.
The way the switch is tucked in there, how hard is it to change??
What size is the switch?
Maybe it's just the OPS, but these L98s have a common problem with the rear manifold leaking after almost 20 years. Did the rear seal on my '90 a couple of years ago. Story here:
Pull the 3 wire plug out of the sender/sensor, if there's oil on the inside of the plug on the sender, it's sender time.
The rear of the manifold is bad about leaking.
You need a very deep well 1-1/16" socket to take the sender out without removing the distributor.
