I have seen posts in the last few months about people having problems removing spark plugs on their Vette engines. Here is a tool that I have had for a few years and it makes removal of the plugs much easier. Note the tool is a normal 3/8 ratchet which allows you to break loose a tight plug. Once you get the plug broke loose, just rotate the "T" handle on the end of the ratchet, and this spins the spark plug socket. This makes removal of the plugs on my L98 easy.....execept for the #2 plug! The #2 is still a b---h even with this tool. Hope this photo helps some people
#2? that tool will not go onto #8! I have to use a sparkplug socket that has a hex on the end and use a box end wrench because there is not enough room to snap a wratchet onto the socket.
I break them loose with a 3/8 ratchet. Then I zip them out with a 1/4 air ratchet. All but #8. Just a 1/4 ratchet for it. the air ratchet backs itself into the evap box and gets stuck on # 8 . I have headers that make access pretty easy. I start them back in by hand. Zip them back in with the air tool and snug them up with a 3/8 ratchet. Less than 1 hour and done.
