Pre Cats

Can I Remove The Pre-cats And Keep The Converter And Install Muffler Eliminators, Will This Be A Noticeable Diffrence In Performance And How Loud Is This Going To Be, I Have A 86

take away the pre-cats but do not guter them or it will drone.
have a high flow cat 150$ ok.
elim will be loud and cause resonance.

Have a 2 1/2" pre-catless front Y along with a hi-flow main cat to pass emissions tests and receive max benefit.

You will get about a 15chp gain from the above cats change; not sure what gain the elims will bring but they will be LOUD...

I eliminated pre cats and went to a high flow main cat. I have dual outlet OEM style Magnaflows. Drone only between 1200 and 1600 rpm's.

I've got a front cat-less y , high flow cat and stinger mufflers from MAM. Nice sound at wot. Not that bad when cruising
