Default Auto Shift **** Removal
I've read the posts. I have removed the clip. The **** will still not come off. I pulled and twisted.

This is a 96. Is it different than earlier years? i'm trying to replace the boot. I need help. Thanks

pull hard it may be wedged on there...atleast mine was 89 auto though

Maybe dribble a little bit of PB Blaster down there to get it loose. Then PULL. My 93 was tight too.

Ok, Got it. I did squirt some penetrating oil down the opening and rocked it back and forth. It finally popped off.
