So all the sudden the damn sensor located at the bottom of the ebrake in my 95 LT1 has decided that it can't make it's own decisions. It is on, and then off, and then on, and so on. I have re-adjusted the brake numerous times, and yes it is completely off. Has anyone else had this problem??
I moved aside the plastic housing at the bottom of the e-brake and just unplugged the sensor for the moment, just to keep the light off as it is driving me nuts. I think maybe it's a tad loose. I will have to check into it more, just wanted to see if anyone else had this problem.

Thanks
Does the "BRAKE" light on the dash come on? Is that what you're talking about?
I had this exact same problem two days ago on my 89. I'll try to describe my problem as best as I can. Remove the cover from the ebrake. Now, look at the rear area of the assembly and there is a somewhat "round" vertical part of that assembly. Slowly pull the brake handle up and watch how that "round" area rotates down. As it rotates you will notice it moves away from a small flat piece of "sprung" metal that looks like a flat finger. As the "round" piece contacts the finger, this is what makes the "BRAKE" light go out. Mine had just enough surface rust so that sometimes it would not make contact. Slip a small piece of sandpaper between the finger and the contact point of that "round" section and clean it up. Apply a small amount of grease. Hope this helps.
Sorry about the delay! Well it ended up being the wiring clip right at the e-brake itself. I ended up pulling it off, cleaning it (as the spot was pretty dirty to get a clean signal), re-crimped, put back and no problems since!!!
