Default 93 Front brake caliper issue

On my 93 the front left brake caliper has a ton of play...at least double the right side. The pin is there and everything seems normal, but with the wheel off you can move the caliper around. Any idea?

The pin is supposed to be replaced after every pad change, due to the shaft wearing. That's probably it.

Play in which direction? Are the anti-rattle springs still attached to the pads? Could the pistons be retracting more on that side than the other?

which direction the play occurs in would be helpful.

Also, if the little ears on the pad are worn off a little around the pin (the ones that keep the caliper from sliding out from the bottom when the pin is in) that can cause play. If those little earsbecome too worn, the caliper has a tendancy to rip off of the bracket and tear the break line off.
Ask me how I know..

If you don't see any wear on the parts I think I would also bleed the front brakes.
