Default Vacuum Hose Replacemnet

Im just wondering what size rubber vacuum hose should I use to replace the fragile plastic ones that run under the plenum and to the EGR valve? Ive read in a post that they are prone to break and cause vacuum leaks so since Ill have the plenum and intake manifold off, I figure ill replace them with rubber ones. The local checkers has 5/32" and 7/32" sizes in stock. Thanks.

I don't recall what size, but you can rule out 7/32". Buy an inch of the 5/32" and try it for size.

The O.D. of the plastic tube should be what you need for I.D. on the hoses. Those plastic tubes look pretty durable to me though and they don't disentegrate like rubber. Some business near you that sells industrial tubing could probably fix you up with plastic tubing you could use.
