You didn't mention what size rim, but if you're talking about 17x9.5 I would go with the 275/40/17.

The 315s will be a bit "pinched' on a 9.5" rim. Unless you're putting down insane power, the 275 MT DRs will be more than sufficient. I've tried Nitto, BFG, and MT in this size and the MT is, by far, the best drag tire, IMO.
