Hi everybody .
I bought at ecklerīs an air- fuel gauge. It has 3 cables. 1 red (+), 1 black (-), and 1 orange. I know that the orange has to be connected to the o2 sensor, but, where is it?.
Thanks for all.
Regards from Spain
Based on the price, it looks like that is a A/F guage that reads off the output of the stock narrowband O2 sensor. So the black wire is ground, the red is the power lead and the orange is the signal from the stock O2 sensor that you would have to splice into. FYI a narrowband o2 sensor is only accurate on air/fuel ratios from like 13:1 to 15:1, hence the term narrowband. A wideband o2 sensor is accurate to air/fuel ratios from as low as 8:1 to about 20:1 and is a very useful tool when it comes to high performance applications from raw N/A power, boost and nitrous. I personally have a wideband and it has been extremely useful in tuning my carbed motor.

I don't believe they are even that accurate. I mean, I don't believe you could distinguish between say 14.0:1 vs 13.5:1 with a narrowband. All you really know is it's rich or it's lean.
That gauge doesn't seem like it would offer up much useful info, except possibly alerting you to an extremely lean condition under heavy throttle. I imagine the ECM would pick up on that too, and throw a code. I could be wrong though. The ZR-1 does this, and will disable the secondaries to prevent engine damage. You could probably detect that anyway without a gauge, as the car would probably fall on it's face.
That readout (gauge) you bought is of limited usage. It is really only good to monitor your computer, to see if it is keeping a proper air fuel ratio under cruise (steady speed) conditions. I hope that is what you were looking for.
Regardless of your command of the English language, your written English is far better than many of the born and raised Americans that post on this forum.

It would probably be easiest to tap into the Purple O2 wire at the ECM on D7 up under the passenger side hush panel.
I remamber ECM has 2 connectors. Can i read D7 on it, or do i need a pic or something?
Or, if you know wheres exactly D7...
So, if i take my orange cable, and i tap it into that purple one, my gauge starts to work, isnt it (yes, with + and- connected)
Thanks!

Well, the most important thing for me of this gauge is his aesthetic (is this the word? ) function.
The info is secondary. May be im idiot, but i like it

Thanks for your info
The right word and right function. That word is beyond waaay too many people on this forum. Maybe we can get the mods and admins to get you to be our language monitor.
I disagree with your reason for buying that gauge, but it's your car and your money.
If you have more projects that require information on your car, you may want to look into getting a factory service manual. They may even have a version in Spanish.

RACE ON!!!
Well, the money isnīt a problem now, because Dollar i really cheap for European people at this moment. 2 years ago 1 dollar was 1 euro (more or less). Now 1 dollar is 0,60 euros.
So that gauge is really cheap (like 5 or 6 Jack Daniels at pub)
I dont find the correct manual on that web, i have now a Heynes, but one in spanish will be perfect for me.
Nice to meet you CFI, and, like you say:

I think I'd rather have the Jack Daniels.

Click HERE for your manual. Before you order, ask if they have a Spanish version. The way they post this one as being in English, I'll bet they do.
