All of us has different experiences putting on a supercharger or turbo, what were your mods and what kind of problems did you have and how did you fix them. What was the rwhp number after the mods. Mounting the P1 Procharger head unite on my 95 was a problem, the clearance between the radiator housing was really tight, had to install the intake on the charger and install all as a unit. The instruction that came with the procharge package was lacking in information, Procharger update your installation manual. Lets here you story's.
I have only two experiences. Both with Blowerworks kits. First one was using a Paxton on stock motor. Never dynoed it but it made 6 psi and supposedly 400hp. Next was a Blowerworks stage 6 which is basically a full Lunatti forged 383 with ported AFR 190's, 224/236, 544/555 114lsa cam, full LT exhaust, meth injection and a Vortech running at 12psi. It supposedly makes over 600hp. Never had it on a dyno yet. Happy to say no problems with BLowerworks kits and their install manuals.
My first Vortech kit made ~ 6 psi (8 psi , 40% HP increase claimed) on a stock motor and then my first ProCharger made ~2 psi (claimed 12 psi and 50-60% increase) on a modded engine. Even with the smallest "effective" pulley, it only made 10 psi.
It was only when I ditched the IC that I started seeing boost above the occasional 12 psi.

in stock procharger configuration, plastic inlet boot rubbed on radiator shroud and eventually collapsed and a big chunk of the plastic boot got sucked through the blower and fragged the impeller and then blew all that plastic and aluminum crap into my engine...car started using oil after that (1 quart to about 1k miles). Rebuilt engine and had an aluminum inlet boot made.
I too saw a significant increase in boost once I tossed the intercooler and went alky injection. Also, suffered from belt slip problems and finally went dedicated 6-rib, then 8-rib, and finally 12-rib.
my biggest issue....optispark! I would tell you my optispark problems but my therapist told to not talk about it outside of group.

Who built the aluminum boot and how much did it cost? I would like to change mine to the aluminum one.
Thanks
