Help with PCMforless chip
Hi, first of all... I'm not the one working on my vette so I hope my question is clear. I know nothing about the subject.
I have a 1986 and have made many changes to the car. I ordered a chip from PCMforless but the guy working on my car is not sure about how to plug in that chip.
does it replaces the old chip?
Do I need to plug that new chip and the old one in also?
Anyone has clear info on the way to do it with the 86?

Are you using an adapter ?? Check out Moates for install info.

There are instructions with pictures on the above install site. From what I remember the new chip plugs on the adapter and the stock chip then all that gets plugged into the computer.http://www.moates.net/documentation....mentation_id=9
If you leave out the stock chip it won't run right.
