Default car died

I was driving the other day and the the car was running good, all of a sudden it bogs down and then dies after a couple of seconds. I couldn"t get it started so I pushed it off the street. About 10 minutes later I finally get it started by holding the gas down but whenever I put a load on it it would die. Wait maybe another 20 minutes start it again it was running really badly but I am able to drive it maybe a half a block to a parking spot. So this morning I went back to the car started it and it ran fine. I am thinking it may be the fuel pump is starting to go bad because it smelled like it was running lean. I'm at school so I don't have many tools with me here so I could not test the pressure in the fuel rail. Has anyone else had a problem like this?

It did smell lean when I got it started. The only code that came up a couple of seconds before the car died was a code 15 which is a low coolant sensor circuit

Sounds like a fuel pump problem, or fuel filter.

I'm not familiar with a "lean smell" either. If the ECT sensor has failed, it could be running rich or lean depending on if it failed open or shorted. You need to beg, borrow or rent (free at a parts store?) a DVOM to check the ECT sensor and a fuel pressure gauge to check the fuel pump. Code 15 indicates high voltage from the ECT which tells ECM the engine is cold which causes the ECM to command a rich mixture.
