Ok, since this is up now, I'll go ahead and ask my first question (one of many I'm sure). I ran across a program awhile back that you could plug a datalog file into (I believe it was a file from Datamaster to be specific but I'm not sure) and it would do the number crunching and spit out a VE table. I seem to remember it only being available for and LT1 application. Does anybody know what/where this program is and if so are there versions available for different applictaions - more specifically, the 730/727 SD application? I've cut my calculating time in half using a spreadsheet but that program was very intriguing and now I can't find it. Any help? -Jeff
Over on the TunerCat board there was a guy named Georger(?) that wrote a program called VEMaster maybe 9 months ago. If I'm remembering right, that might be the one you are thinking about. It was for LT1's so I never looked at it in detail. HTH
Thanks Doc, I found a few links to VEMaster and that's it. Ok, so it only works with LT1 bins/logs. It looks like it was written in Visual C++ 6. Any programming gurus out there that can adapt it? Maybe that's not even allowed in the written/unwritten rules of the "programming world". Not sure how that stuff works but it would be nice to have a similar program for other applications. -Jeff
Send a mail to Joe. He is a very nice guy and he might write the code to do what you are asking. Every suggestion we have offered over the last year, he has been more than happy to integrate!
If you are using this program, I would use a LARGE log file, and do a few iterations of this in order to get it dead on!
Good Luck,
somebody had posted an excel spreadsheet program that you could paste your ve numbers in and blms and it would give you the new table for Tunercat. It was for a 747 ecm though, and rpms stopped at 3400 or so. It could probably be extended to cover more rpms.... I'll see if I can find it. I think I had saved it when I ran across it on gmecm.
I ran across a mailing list on topica.com that I subscribed to awhile back. Doesn't get a ton of posts but hopefully it will grow. Might check that out. -Jeff
