Bose speaker noise
Sounds like the speaker amp is heading south. You can try the C4 Bose Amp Fix in the Tech Tips section of the Forum (it didn't work for me).
There are a couple of places that will repair them:
http://www.Vettronics.com
http://www.doctordons.homestead.com
(the last time I tried to get the Vetttronics web site it didn't work-they did have a toll free number (888) 454-1911 or the address was:
Corvette Parts and Service Co.
708 Cory Lane #76
Bloomington, IN 47403
I hope that helps)

I had the same problem and replaced two amps, and it works fine now.
True I could have put the $200 towards an entirely new sound system for the
car, but ...
... don't bother with that $2 amp fix thing, I don't know personally
know anyone who did it, and had it work.

Thanks fourthrail for the response. I have an Assc Degree in computer electronics from way back so I have to give the Cap change a shot. If that does not work I will do as you did and replace both front amps.
If you know what you're doing it might be worth a shot ...
... however ...
I actually sold my non-working amps on e-bay for $90. No lie. I actually put them up and listed them as "non-working", and some guy from Florida who obviously does rebuilds on these things paid the $90 buy price. :yesnod:
... this might be worth a shot as well ...
... If you drop me an e-mail, I'll see if I can dig up the guy's mane/address ...
