About a month ago I found several build sheets stuffed into a hole in my frame by the engine mounts. I found something else last night that is wrapped over the top of my gas tank. Is it probably another build sheet? I havn't tried to get it out yet. Any suggestions on how to remove it? :smash:
Too cooL! :) I've looked about a dozen times on my car and haven't even found the holes to look in, much less a build sheet! What's the likelihood of it stil being readable after 108k miles? :D Oh well, at least I have the one from my 1970. :yesnod:
I'm "rebuilding" my 85 and I took the engine cradle out and I also found a build sheet stuffed up inside (would've been near one of the motor mounts). It was pretty dingy and only half readable. I'll be looking for the one on top of the gas tank when I get to that point.
My car has 149,000 miles on it and the build sheets were pretty bad. You could still read them though. The one on top of my gas tank looks perfect. I can't get it out though.
If they seem to be in bad shape, the chances are not too good that they will come off the tank without more tearing.
Why not get them from the Museum?? You can order both the build sheet and the window sticker for your car. If you're not a member, just cruise on over and join up!! :D
