Need help: Just installed slave cylinder and master on 91', having problem
I just finished bolting everything back together(I used the how to instructions from Corvette Fever's website) jumped in the car and the clutch pedal only goes down about 1/4 travel before stopping. The pedal is no where near reaching the floor.
What should I check first? (filled slave before installing the hydraulic hose and filled master and let it gravity feed through the tube before installing on slave).
I didn't bleed per the Corvette Fever article because I filled the slave and bleed it then gravity feed/bleed the master and hose before bolting to the slave, but I just noticed a snap ring on the old slave shaft that was not on the new slave shaft when I installed it in the bell housing.
I wonder if this could be the problem. I'll ty it and post if it works or not.
Now I'm confused, the old slave had a place about an inch from the end of the shaft that is just big enough for the small snap ring to snap over. the new slave's rod has a groove that measures about 6 mm in length. Do I still slide the small snap ring in place. If I do it will have room to slide back and forth along that 6 mm groove.

Hydraulic or Mechanical ??? That could be the question ....
Just a guess .....
If possible, determine whether or not it is a mechanical blockage.
If the shaft, I assume you mean rod on the slave is bent, you should eliminate the possibility that there is something binding up in the bellhousing preventing the affected clutch components/assembly from moving.
A bent push rod could occur from enough hydraulic force from the master cyl. if you pushed hard on the pedal to see if you could make it work ??????
The bent pushrod could be the Canary in the Mine, so to speak, and therefore could be the indicator of a problem up-stream towards the engine.
Subject to criticism, correction etc., etc.

With the slave out of the bellhousing and the hydraulic line still connected, the clutch pedal will still not go down when pressed.
I loosened the bleeder valve on the slave and while pressing in on the rod/plunger was able to get clutch fluid out. At this point I am not sure what to try next. Need suggestions. Thanks,
