I took my car to have the windshield replaced due to a small crack on the passenger side top corner. To make a long story short they have put three of them over the course of a week. They have been doing the repairs in there shop. He said everytime they get it in it cracks in the same spot. Now they are telling me to take the car to a bodyshop to see if something is out of whack. I have never had any problem with the top fitting and the door gaps are perfect. Does any of this make sense?

That would be my guess. If you need the measurement points I should have them.
Other than the fact that its a $200 piece of glass, the C4 windshield is pretty straight forward to change. What brand was the glass itself? I put a PPG in mine.
Two weeks ago I had the winshield in my 95 replaced with PPG. A fellow did it in the parking lot here at work in just under 2 hours.
Fit was perfect. He never even removed any of the upper trim or molding because he was able to remove the old one and install the new one from the bottom.
Since the install I've loged 10 hours of driving in the rain and washed the car twice with no leaks
And here is something that I found interesting.... this fellow was recomended to me by my specialty shop as someone who does top quality work ..... the fellow himself told me that he has done several humdred corvettes ..... although he gave me no arguement when I insisted on PPG glas ... he told me that in his opinion the glass coming out of china was now better than that coming out of the US. His feeling was that the chemical makeup of the domestic glass was being changed to reduce the cost and resulting in glass that is more brittle than before

Good info! I used PPG because that was what my buddies glass company uses. Glad to know it's good stuff. Did the windshield in June of 06.
