Valvoline SynPower Brake Fluid
I am not stating what is best.
I am just talking about a brake fluid that I like.
I found two more bottles today but I am not sure I believe or understand what one of the parts-guys told Me yesterday.
One store had the 'new' Valvoline synthetic on the shelf...at the same price as the synpower! I don't know if this is replacement is a 'cheaper' synthetic for the consumer or 'cheaper' for the manufacturer(at the same retail!).
In any case, I will continue to look for a little more. At $6.00 per large bottle and all the great specs, I love the stuff.

The Castrol LMA is much better.
and why would anyone go out looking to stock pile brake fluid ???
It has a limited shelf life, and there is much better fluid out there than Vavoline.
That being said, the dry boiling point of Synpower was 480°F (as written by a previous poster) and wet boiling point was 311°F. Castrol LMA dry boiling point is 446°F, while its wet boiling point is the same as the Valvoline. Also the shelf life of an unopened, factory sealed brake fluid is about 2 years (http://motorcyclebloggers.com/tech-t...ke-fluid-101/). I would hope that brake fluid is changed at least once every two years and if you ever have to change brake lines, you would also need unadulterated fluid.
I'm not trying to argue or anything, as I am by no means a brake or automotive expert, I'm just restating what has been said elsewhere and making inferences based on member input. Simply adding my observations to the thread. As an aside, I have used SynPower to bleed once and its worked fine. I'm thinking of getting some ATE SuperBlue though because of the color and higher boiling points, even though it is NOT DOT approved for use in Florida..

My question is this: If you don't like it and don't want it...Why would you care if other folks like it?
I don't understand the point of posts like these.
I hope You find Something that makes YOU Happy. I still wonder why you act negative and/or mad at people for trying to buy what they want. I haven't seen a single post to say anyone should buy this or acting negatively towards anyone who doesn't want it.
I hope everyone is OK and is happy. I hope folks find the Inner Peace they may need.

"The SynPower Brake Fluid has simply changed containers and is now known as Valvoline Performance Chemicals Synthetic Brake Fluid. It will be in a blue container instead of the traditional gold SynPower container."
I found the new fluid in a couple of the parts-stores that I scoured for the old Synpower fluid. It was labeled as Vavoline synthetic DOT 3 and 4 compatible. It is in a white bottle with mostly blue writing on the bottle. It is also he same price-point as Synpower(same price per bottle).
This may all be right like the first parts-store Mgr told me, that is is basically the same but sold through a new brand/name etc..
This also kinda fits the other parts-store guy who said they wanted a cheaper product for competion. Since the new product is the same price-point, I figured the new product was for better profits(you are not going to get people to buy the new unknown product for the same price, not cheaper).
I hope the new product is similiar in boiling and general properties. In the mean time, I have enough for My new ceramic pads, drilled/slotted rotors and stainless brake line upgrades. After I get this done, I will still need to save a couple of bottles but I will be willing to part with some of My extra to those who want it. I am not going to sell it for profit, I'm not wanting to make a profit. I just want to help anyone who wants this fluid AFTER I have got my brake work done.
