i'm constantly having dead battery issues.(2nd new battery) after charging the battery up, i reconnect the battery cables. as i touch the last cable to the battery, i hear the power energize the headlight motors. i makes like a knock sound(both motors). my question is this. is this normal, or is this drawing constant voltage to the motors and running down my battery? NOTE: the headlights work fine with no issues. they open and close great.
Click your computer "Back" button. Look at the Sticky at the top of the page that says " Headlight repair w/pic". The headlights are not parking properly.

In case you are in doubt, I was also under the impression that when you had this, the doors would not work properly.http://www.corvetteforums.com/upfile...0FB29492D0.jpg
My doors worked and it had the same symptoms as yours. I found that same material in mine. Three buttons in each and the problem solved.
I should have added that my '87 had been upgraded to the same later style door motors by someone in the past.
It is perfectly normal, the head light control module will try and close the headlights when it energizes, this is so that when you turn on your lights and your lights are up, it doesn't burn the motors up trying to flip up the lights.
thanks for the thoughts on this guys. i appreciate it. any other thoughts on the dead battery syndrome? the car appears to be all stock with no wire tampering that i can tell.
