Default car shut down

1990 vert,,,had 3 injectors put in,last thursday,,,picked up car friday,,running great,,,,went to movies sat. night witht the wife,,,after movie,,unlocked wife`s door (the gentleman that i am,,lol),,unlocked doors,,walked around,,i think wife relocked doors,,anyway,,alarm went off,,i shut it off with my key,,,,,,started car up, (battery voltage was normal),, in about 5 seconds,,car shut down,,,could not restart,,,sounded as if it wanted to start, but wouldn`t..the more i tried to crank it,,i could see battery voltage start to drop...friend towed back to mechanic,,,tried to start it this morning (sunday) again no luck,,could hear fuel pump..no codes have been pulled yet. .my question is, do you think this has something to do with the injectors? or can the VATS actually shut down the car... battery ??,,,just trying to get an opinion from all of you,,thanks,,,will keep you informed,,,

Yes the Vats can disable the ignition. Usually sticking the door key in the door and unlocking it will disable the system unless somethings wrong.

i did shut off the alarm, by unlocking driver side door,,,do you think the alarm is still enabled ? if so, how does one clear it ? i didn`t even know the 90 had this feature. still pondering if those new injectors might be the culprit,,,,,

3 injectors going out at the same time, not likely. I think you try and reset everything by disconnecting, wait a few minutes and reconnect the battery. Also, I have heard to disable the security system, you have to unlock the passenger door.

Goodluck!!

It is not the FI's, you have a vats or similar problem.

When relpacing Mutlitec injectors, do all eight at once.
