Default Help with vacuum

I have some old vacuum lines I need to replace. On my 1993, I have two vacuum lines that are attached to the cruise servo. The one I need help with routes down to a box at the firewall. I think this is the heater box. The hose seems to ens in a "boot" attached to this box. I can't feel how the "boot" or hose is attached.

Has anyone replaced this on their car?

Does the "fitting" at the firewall project into the engine compartment?

Anyway, here's a bump for someone who also has a '93.

Default sure does

Yeah the boot is attached to the tank that I believe is part of the heating system. Both are outside of the firewall.
