How do I know what gearing i have in my rear end. I see people posting alot for wanting to make changes to 3.07 or higher. I have a stock 95 LT1 auto. Just wanting to learn more about my car.

get the code from the underside of your console lid, or crawl under the back and look for the stamped number on the rear end

My guess 2.56, great for gas mileage, 3.07 increased performance and close to same gas mileage if you don't use the performance constantly.
All the build codes are listed elsewhere in this Forum.

If it is an A4 run it up to 80mph in 4th gear and tell us what is the tach reading; if it's 2,000rpm you have 2.59 gears.

Nick a great place to begin learning about your car is the "sticky" (C4 RPO FAQ) located at the top of the C4 General forum.
For your specific question read the intro then scan down to Rear Differentials.
Another great learning resource is the sticky at the top of this forum, (C4 Technical Summary and FAQ) lots of great information in both places that covers many of the questions usually asked by those just starting.
