TPS question
I bought a new TPS for my 94. Do I need to calibrate or program anything on it or can I just remove the old one and put the new one on?

If it has round instead of elongated mounting holes then just plug it in and it works. The ECM will figure out what is idle and what is WOT voltages.

I did some archive searching and came across a post saying something about certain TPS's needing to scanned. Anyone know if this is true and if it is which ones it pertains to?

I believe in order for ASR to work properly with the new one, you need a Tech 1 scan tool, and you have to learn it in.

I read that in the FSM but when I replaced the one on my old 93 it worked just fine so I don't believe it is needed unless there is a problem.

Ok, one mounting hole is little elongated and the one on the bottom is round.

Anyone know if this is correct? Would the dealer even know what you were talking about if you took your car in to get it set up?
