Default Chip?

Anyone switch out their chip to an upgraded one, If so is it worth it? My 85 has 107,xxx and the motor is like new under the valve covers and leaks no oil or burns no oil. It plain and simple is not as fast as what I'm hearing it should be. It will not even turn the tires over! :o

A chip is not a magic bullet for that car.

A chip is not a magic bullet for that car.

You can gain some power with an AFPR, cut lid with K&N and 160deg T-stat with fan switch.
And free flowing exhaust will net some nice power gains.
Also, bump the TPS base voltage and maybe base timing to get a little snappier throttle response.

I wonder if your cat is clogged or something. Mine was frying tire even when I got it, until the cat got clogged.
