Default Code 34 help

I have done the research on the code 34 issues. 1988 with no mods,
Car idles fine and runs well, pulls 18 inches of steady vacuum at idle,
base timing at 6 degrees, min idle 500 rpm, does it matter not being set at 450 rpm?
Car starts right up, idles at 1100 for 2 minutes, then drops to 800/900
In drive car idles at 600 rpm.

Service engine light comes on 20 seconds after car start, cold or warmed up.

Look for help on where to start looking for the cause of the code 34.

Default so far what I have found

Follow the diagnostic chart and I am going to replace the sensor. As I have no clue how long it has been on the car.

But the car did idle better when I disconnected the MAF sensor.
Idle was 800/900 with MAF Sensor connected and 1000 without.
