Can anyone help me figure out what I need to do to fix the problem?
I have a burnoff diagnostics code 36 and need to know what to do to fix the problem.
I already took the car to a guy who found out what the code was but he wasn't sure what to do about it. He suggested some throttle body cleaner and a good run at high rpm to clean things out. I did that and the check engine light still comes back after a while.
I am frustrated by computer controlled technology. I hope it is something simple but I am afraid it isn't.
I swapped my 1-4 shift skip relay for the MAF burn off relay and fixed my code 36. There are a few other possibilities but I would try swapping relays around first as they are the same.
Do a search for "code 36", open the first old thread. Flip thry it until you see a posting by agent86. He put in a link to the trouble shooting procedure for this.
